Be it out of personal curiosity or for the purpose of official documentation, this age calculator is a tool that instantly and accurately calculates your age.

How Age is Calculated in Most Cultures
The most common age system, used primarily in the West, calculates your age from your birthday forward. That is, if you are 29 years and 11 months old, you are still considered to be 29 until your next birthday, when you would be considered 30.
Seen within this context, the neoclassicism evident throughout much of Ingres’s work won great acclaim in its time:
Because different age groups require different quantities of rest, you may also want to check our Sleep Calculator to see just how much sleep your age group requires.
Cultural differences in age calculation
Not all societies use the same method. In some Asian cultures, a newborn is considered to be 1 year old at birth. Then, they gain age on the Lunar New Year, not on a birthday. Therefore, a baby born only a day before the Lunar New Year could already be counted as 2 years old just days after.

Tricky Dates
Calculating age in months and days is tricky due to different month lengths. For instance, from February 28, 2023, to March 31, 2023:
If we count Feb 28 → Mar 28 as one month, then the result is 1 month and 3 days.
Taking the dates for both Feb 28 and Mar 31 to be “month-end,” we have 1 month.
Technically speaking, both formulas are correct; to maintain consistency, though, this Age Calculator uses the first one mentioned above–day-to-day difference–for more accurate calculations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How is age calculated?
In most countries, your age increases on your birthday.
So if you’re 20 years and 11 months, your official age is still 20 until your next birthday.
2. Why does this calculator show age in months, weeks, and days?
Because it gives a clearer and more detailed understanding of your age.
For example, instead of simply saying you’re 25, the calculator might show:
25 years, 3 months, and 12 days.
3. Can age be calculated differently?
Yes. Some cultures consider a person 1 year old at birth, and age increases with the Lunar New Year instead of birthdays.
4. Is this age calculator accurate?
Absolutely.
The tool uses exact date differences, providing highly accurate results in years, months, days, hours, and even seconds.
